The Old SEO Geek
I might be one of the oldest geeks you will meet. I have been a MAC desktop user since 1988 when I first saw a Mac Plus producing an invoice form. I joined the internet crowd as soon as it was publicly available when AOL first connected in 1994. From the day I got connected, I was hooked. I knew this was the next really big thing!

I began building websites a in the mid 2000's when a small non-profit group needed a website. Producing a website that the whole world could see really got me hooked! Photography, graphic arts, marketing... it all comes together on the Internet! But as a relatively new communication media I found many people do not have the over all understanding or skills to effectively use this information super highway.

To gain these skills myself, I returned to college in my early 50's to study technology. I studied business, webmastering, internet technologies, networks, network security, graphic arts and Linux administration. I finally attained a certification in Linux administration and two degrees in networking technologies. By the time I graduated, most people my age were planning retirement, not going to school or starting a new career.

However, most companies continue to think of technology as a young man's field. I did find a job as a Linux network administrator but the company didn't follow though with their plan to implement selling the software that ran on Linux servers. Even though I was a Linux adminstrator, I was still fascinated with websites. I didn't make working websites a career until a business man approached me about helping him with that side of his business. Two years later, the web work became its own business and "Kratos Websites" was born.

Through tutoring and sweat for two years, I learned how to hand write web projects in HTML and PHP. During that time, many projects were developed and eventually discarded as not hitting the market place at the right time with the right product. I developed a seminar on Seach Engine Optimization but abondoned it to due to the simple fact, it is step four of Internet Marketing. However, building websites and even SEO became automated ... time to move on.

I have been interested in Biblical Research since my teen years, even attending a Bible college for three years. All the while I was working on technology, I was also researching and writing biblical studies essays. Two men approached me about sponsoring my efforts since they were interested in my efforts but one didn't have the skills and the other didn't have the time. That arrangement lasted for almost four years, well into my retirement. See this page for the results of those projects. --> Christian Author <--
