John L Brown a.k.a. YOPHOTOMAN
John Brown Face

Yophotoman is a screen name I've used for a long time. It can be found around the Internet but only here can all of my projects be found collected together. Basic information is here, while more information about them, if available, are linked from their repective pages.

This website is a subset of my intellectual property, hence subip. These pages are synopses of my DIY projects since I became self employed (2006), when I could structure my own time, and especially since I retired (2012).

Biography

I was raised in the rural farm country of N.W. Ohio, USA. As one might expect from a fly-over kid, I am still fairly conservative, patriotic, religious and honor family values. Growing up, I was surrounded by family and a rural community that was pretty self reliant and neighborly helpful when needed. It's still my mentality, to be independent and help others but not quite a "prepper." Doing most things yourself as much as you could, ie DIY, was just normal living to me, not a hobby nor out of necessity. "How can I do this myself," is still always my first thought for anything I want to do. Eventually, you learn what you can do and what you must hire out ... haven't wrenched on a car for over 20 years - learned that lesson!

When I needed a bio paragraph for the back cover of a book, I turned to a projessional resume writer I knew. I got this back, a paragraph I would never have thought to write myself:

Author and essayist John Brown’s life quest resonates with the words of the late Steve Jobs: “Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.” John’s intuition and natural curiosity led him into many fields, earning degrees in theology, nursing sciences, and digital networking technologies, and finally into the fields of research andpng writing. Inspired by God’s spirit and driven by inquiry, John has sought to see a larger picture of the Christian Faith and the needs of the followers of Jesus Christ to understand their Bible. John has published several books and a number of videos on Faith topics. He has also built and sailed his own boats and produced two video series Youtube on these projects. John lives in Largo, Florida with his wife of 38 years. They raised two sons together. He can also be found on Twitter and Facebook.

Yep, that about sums it up...and yes, I know I'm missing pages between 14 and 20. It's room for more projects don't ya know...!JB signature

P.S. I know this website looks like Web 1.0 because it is. I hand coded it in 2010 and just now updating its content but not its structure or decore.
